Jekyll Island Georgia

Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia on the east coast beaches USA has a history going back to the 1700’s. Originally a cotton plantation, it was recreated as a resort for the rich and famous, mostly bankers and government leaders. A limited size private membership club first focused on activities such as hunting. A gamekeeper kept the property stocked for the members with pheasants, quail, turkey and deer.
