Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia on the east coast beaches USA has a history going back to the 1700’s. Originally a cotton plantation, it was recreated as a resort for the rich and famous, mostly bankers and government leaders. Sunny Georgia Beaches are very famous among tourists. The endless miles of white sand await you for a fun filled experience where you can engage in your favorite beach activity. Many can be noticed playing volleyball, sunbathing, shell collecting, bird watching during the summer season. Georgia Beaches are one of the best shell collecting beaches. At Driftwood beach one can observe hermit crabs and sand dollars across the shore during certain seasons. The north side of Jekyll Island offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. It is a collection of beach, forests and saltwater habitats. Beach inhabitants like snails, crabs, herons etc can be found at these East Coast Beaches. Every visitor will have many of unforgettable memories while relaxing on the shores and appraising the beauty of the coastline.
