About this video: This is a montage of shots from Island Beach State Park in Seaside Park, NJ. The footage was shot on a perfect evening on August 27, 2009. Many think of New Jersey as a factory-ridden and barren landscape, but those who are brainwashed into believing this are naive to the fact that this is only true in the northeastern-most 5-to-10 miles of the state. Our shore and beaches are just as picturesque as those of Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon and others. Island Beach State Park is an ideal representation of “the Jersey Shore”, and hopefully this video captures some of its natural aesthetic.

All shots were filmed using a Canon VIXIA HV30 high-definition camcorder. No filters or lenses were used, and every shot is achievable with the camera right out of the box.

Minor color correction and all editing done in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.

For HV30 owners, camera settings were: Cine Mode; Vivid coloring; Image Stabilization (on); HDV 24p.

Output setting (“Comp. Out”) was set to 1080i, and the clips were imported via FireWire using HDVSplit to capture the HD footage. Imported and edited in Premiere Pro CS4.
