The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is home to the most diverse collection of bromeliads in the United States.

    Ca d’Zan Mansion – The Ca d’Zan Mansion was built between 1924 and 1926, it served as the house for the winter of John Ringling and his family. The Ca d’Zan Mansion gives out a Mediterranean Revival style and an influence of the Doge’s Palace in Venice. Visitors can go on a guided tour of the mansion.

    Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium – This aquarium located on Ken Thompson Parkway on City Island. The place is home to over 100 local and non-local marine animals. They over educational programs for summer camps, field, and school visits.

    Siesta Key Village – The Siesta Key Village is not too far away from downtown Sarasota. It offers one of the best beaches that you can visit in the United States as it not only boasts its beautiful beach, but it also offers a number of bars, ice cream parlors, spas, restaurants and a lot more.

    How to get there

    The Sarasota International Airport serves the city with daily domestic and international flights. If you are driving into the city, take Interstate 75 and Exit 210. Drive west on Fruitville Road which will lead you right to downtown Sarasota.
