    Just about 20 minutes via car from downtown Jacksonville, this is a beachfront city that offers fresh breeze all year round. Many visitors comes to this area as it is not as crowded as other neighboring beaches like Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach. In the past, this city used to be a part of the general Jacksonville Beach. Back before it became a city of its own, this area has few and far between homes. In 1931, after a tax revolt, residents built their own town – and called it Neptune Beach.

    Although comparably smaller than the other neighboring beaches, you will be able to enjoy plenty of activities in Neptune Beach.

    Water Sports – one of the first things that you should plan out is to do water sports. You have unlimited choices when it comes to water adventures.     Try Kite Surfing – One fun activity that you should check out is Kitesurfing. Visit Jax Surf and Paddle along 1st St. to get an opportunity to try an exhilarating flying activity. They also offer other water sports lessons such as paddle boarding and surfing.

    Pete’s Bar – one of the many best bar in town where locals and tourists enjoy. According to locals, Pete’s Bar is considered a drinking institution in the area.
    Beaches Green Market – Once a week, the Beaches Green Market sells some of the best local produce with vendors bring their own assortment of goods. Enjoy some local honey, pickles, and locally made sausages that you cannot get anywhere else.

    Jarboe Park – For a refreshing day with family and friends, visit the Jarboe Park. It’s the perfect place for a picnic or exercising.
    Enjoy an assortment of Restaurants – If you are looking for great food you will find them along some of the beachfront streets. The seafood in these restaurants are amazing and something that you should experience.

    How To Get There
    Neptune Beach is accessible via the big city of Jacksonville, Florida. There are several ways to get to the city, the Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) is a major Florida airport and has numerous daily flights from all over the United States. If you are driving into the city, from the north, take I-95 South and take the State 9-A exit. If you are driving from south, take I-95 and take the Heckscher Drive exit. Lastly, if you are driving from west, take I-10 East, I-295 North and take the #395 exit.
    From the downtown area, you can take the Mathews Bridge to Arlington
