Florida Culture
Florida is the most southern of all U.S. states and is a unique blend of societies. Your absolutely right, and thats coming from someone who lives there. The beach is atrocious. Palm beach is awesome and ponce inlet has nice water but i dont live the sand. Thats the only good thing about daytona beach it has good sand. I hate this city. Orlando is the best city in florida, its so fun

I am from Ft Myers. It is BEAUTIFUL, and you will not be sorry. I don’t know if Chadwicks is still there ( on Captiva ) but oh sooo good. Also, the Mucky Duck, and the Bubble Room. MAN I miss FLorida!

Daytona beach is a cesspool. Drive just a few miles further South to Ponce Inlet…. Its like night and Day. Nice clear water,. beautiful sand

Daytona and Clearwater are on here but Fort DeSoto isn’t ? What about Long Key? The places they show here are mostly traps and the tourists can have them.

Our very favorite Florida beach is Daytona. The sand is soft as powder, the ocean is gorgeous, and I, for one, could sit there all day and never move! However, we have 4 kids, so we love the area for all of the activities there are to do, too (golfing for my husband and oldest boy, horseback riding for me and the rest of the kids, etc.). We always rent a time share from http://www.redweek.com. They have a lot to choose from, but the one we always stay at is the Daytona SeaBreeze because of the children’s amenities – a childen’s pool, and wonderfully designed children’s activities. The timeshare gives us so much more space for the kids to spread out in, as opposed to a cramped hotel room (at a better cost, too – our last stay was $128/night – for SIX of us!!), and the kitchen helps so much on the cost of meals. Our Daytona Beach vacation is the high-light of our year!
